100+ of the Most Carcinogen Shampoos

Shampoos are made to cleanse your hair. We apply the shampoo and make sure that it doesn't burn the eyes. However, recent studies have shown results of ingredients found in shampoos and soaps that is disturbing. The Center for Environmental Health based in Oakland, California found 98 possible carcinogens known as cocamide diethanolamine (cocamide DEA). The chemical cocamide diethanolamine (cocamide DEA) is a chemically modified form of coconut oil used as a thickener or foaming agent in many products. The products were listed by California as a known carcinogen last year. The CEH filed a California lawsuit against four companies that sell products that contain cocamide DEA, and the nonprofit has sent legal notices to more than 100 companies that sell or produce cocamide DEA-tainted products (foam stabilizer, shampoos, and soaps). The rule was that the products iolate state law. In the State law of California, Proposition 65, it requires a manufacturer to warn consumers over the risks of certain substances, like cocamide DEA. Cocamide DEA is on that list beause it is a suspected carcinogen and it was banned in the state last year after a study found that in laboratory animals, it caused cancer. There are also many high levels of cocamide in toiletry products. The issue is that the FDA allows them to put all sorts of chemicals in their products, including chemicals that are known carcinogens and that contribute to liver failure and nervous system disorders.  This could possibly be a contribution to liver cancer multiple sclerosis (MS) and other health issues.

Now, I'm sure these shampoos, soaps, and conditioners are wonderful products, just without the carcinogens. However, the manufacture may of originally were unaware of the harmful ingredients made in the shampoos. We do ask for this one change.  All we propose is for companies to change or modify the ingredients of their products for it to comply to Proposition 65 without caricogens.
